God's Eternal Plan And Purpose
  • God's Eternal Plan And Purpose
  • It is Written...

...According to the Eternal Purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus, our Lord Ephesians 3:11.

Since the beginning of time man has sought to understand his very exisitance on the earth. He continues, even to the twentieth century, to seek answers to three questions:

    1. WHERE did I come from?

    2. WHY am I here?

    3. WHERE am I going?

Over the centuries, great intellectual minds have attempted to answer these questions. But today they're gone and their ideas are gone with them. As the years continue to roll by and each succeeding generation becomes more and more intelectual, man continues to overlook the One being who is able to answer these three questions - The Eternal God! Scientists and intellectuals have come and gone, but the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel remains. The ideas expressed by the scientists and intellectuals have perished, but the Word of God remains.

The Mystery of this universe and it's inhabitants is reveal in God's Word - the Bible. The Bible and the Bible only will fully answer the questions concerning our "Origin. Existance, and Destiny." The Bible reveals to the sincere heart God's 'Eternal Plan and Purpose'. We are not left to drift aimlessly through space at the mercy of cosmic forces.

The Bible clearly reveals that we are here as the result of a "A Plan". Through 'the Plan', the Eternal God is working out "A Purpose". In that plan, ...He works all things after 'the counsel of His own will, that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ." (Ephesians 1:11-12).

Again the Bible teaches, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28). Therefore, WHAT does the Bible teach God's Plan and Purpose?

First of all, in order to more clearly understand the Bible we must realize that it is a Progressive Revelation of God and His Plan. Like a Great Masterbuilder, He first lays a foundation - "In the beginning, God....." There are no philosophic arguments for His existance - It is a statement of fact. As Believers, we build on the foundation that "God IS". Hebrews 11:6 shows us that, "Without faith it is impossible to please God; for him that cometh to God must believe that God IS.....
